How do you serve chocolate fondue in a café?

  • Short answer: serve the sauce in separate cups and the dippers in the compartments of one wooden platter.
  • Layout: 54 × 40.5 cm (21.3 × 15.9 in), 8 compartments and 5 sauce cups in the centre.
  • The sauce stays in its cup, so it does not touch the wood.

A chocolate fondue platter is a divided serving board that holds the sauce in separate cups and the dippers in compartments, all on one tray. In a café, the chocolate reaches the table in its cup while pancakes, waffles and fruit wait in their own sections. Guests dip what they like, the sections stay clean, and one platter feeds a shared table.

Architab's All in One Fondue Presentation is a fondue board made of solid wood, 54 × 40.5 cm (21.3 × 15.9 in). It has eight compartments of 15 × 11.5 cm (5.9 × 4.5 in) each, and room in the centre for five sauce cups with a 5 cm (2 in) base. The sauce is served in those cups, so it does not touch the wood.

The platter weighs about 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) and is finished with two coats of scratch-resistant varnish. We make it in our workshop in Cappadocia, Türkiye.

What types of fondue are there?

Three. Cheese fondue belongs on the savoury side of the menu, and chocolate fondue is the dessert version. The third is cooked in hot oil or broth at the table, and that needs a pot, not a platter.

A dessert café only needs chocolate. Five sauce cups let you put dark and milk chocolate on the same board as white chocolate and caramel.

Which chocolate fondue dippers work best?

Good chocolate fondue dippers are small, firm and dry on the outside. Cut waffles into bite-size squares and halve the croissants. Slice bananas just before serving, because they brown.

The eight compartments take pancakes, waffles, croissants, mini profiteroles, brownies, bananas, strawberries and pineapple. We keep the baked items in one column and the fruit in the other, so nobody reaches across a strawberry to get to a brownie.

How do you serve the sauce on a fondue board?

Put it in the cups, not on the board. That is the design logic of the platter. The cups sit in the centre strip, so every compartment on both sides is the same short reach away.

Five cups give guests a choice instead of a single sauce. We would give two cups to chocolate and use the rest for the other sauces on your menu.

Is a wooden chocolate fondue platter better than ceramic bowls?

Ceramic bowls work too. The difference shows up at the pass and on the table: the chocolate fondue platter is one piece, while bowls are carried one at a time. We recommend the one-piece platter because it reaches the table in one trip.

Where can a café order a chocolate fondue platter in bulk?

If you want a dessert fondue platter for cafe service, this is the model we make. The wooden fondue serving board is cut on a CNC machine and finished by hand from solid wood.

Minimum order, delivery time and logo engraving depend on the request, so ask on WhatsApp with your quantity and logo. Bulk orders work for cafés and pastry shops as well as hotel kitchens. More models are in our wooden dessert serving plates category.

Chocolate fondue platter questions from café owners

How many dippers should I start with?

Start with four or six; you do not need to fill all eight. Keep baked items in one column and fruit in the other, and use the empty sections for seasonal fruit such as strawberries or pineapple. As the menu grows you add dippers, and the platter stays the same.

Does the chocolate touch the wood?

No. The sauce is served in the 5 cm (2 in) sauce cups, so it does not touch the wood; only dippers such as pastry and fruit go into the compartments. We don't recommend the dishwasher; the full routine is in our wooden plate care guide.

How do I add fondue to a waffle and croissant menu?

List it as one shared dessert. The waffles and croissants you already bake sit in the compartments. Give it a plain menu name such as shared chocolate fondue, and check that 54 × 40.5 cm (21.3 × 15.9 in) of table space suits your tables.

Can I order with my logo from outside Türkiye?

We ship internationally. Delivery time and logo engraving for this product are discussed per request, and we don't quote figures from a guess. Send your quantity, logo and country on WhatsApp, and ask about the minimum order in the same message.

See the dimensions and compartment layout on the product page. For quantities and logo, ask the workshop on WhatsApp.
